Storybird: Digital Storytelling πŸ¦πŸ“–

Storybird is an art-inspired creative online writing platform that lets anybody make visual stories in seconds. the tool carries its artwork from illustrators all around the world. Storybird authors are then able to turn this artwork into original stories. I can say that there is a large range of artwork from illustrators and animators around the world on Storybird, you can use these images to inspire writers of any age.

Through Storybird, students and teachers can read different stories or create their own one by using some animations. You can start reading stories by going up to the top bar and click "read" you can choose a wide range of stories that were written by others you can search by age, format, categories or you can just explore what was popular or new. If you want to create your own writings, you can go up to the top and click "write". Storybird provides its users with five different story options to create: picture books, long-form stories, comics, flash fiction, and poetry. Once you've selected your story option, you can now go ahead and choose from a wide range of artwork and create your own stories. You can start typing your story in the textbox and add some additional pages. Once you've completed your narrative, you have the option to preview your work to make sure that you're satisfied with it, if any edits need to be made you can backtrack and make them, if you are completely satisfied with your work you can publish your story either publicly or privately.

I think students may not feel motivated about writing activities, they mostly enjoy writing stories about their interests but it is still important to use effective media tools to teach narrative writing. So, I think Storybird is a great platform that can affect students' confidence, interest, and overall performance while writing in English.

Update: I found out that you can get reviews about your story and some feedback for your grammar etc. after you finished writing and after the expert review, you can publish your story publicly. Here's the review I got!
