Quill is an online resource of free writing and grammar activities. In Quill Connect, students combine multiple ideas in a single sentence and receive instant feedback to help them improve their clarity and precision. Quill Diagnostic is a 22-question diagnostic that determines which skills students need to work on, and generates personalized learning plan based on their performance. In Quill Proofreader, students edit passages and receive personalized exercises based on their result giving them all the practice they need to spot common grammatical errors. Quill Grammar is a 10-minute writing activity that allows students to practice basic grammar skills, from comma placement to parallel structure. Quill also features performance reports to monitor comprehension on specific writing standards.

The website is useful for testing students on their prior knowledge of editing sentences for writing. It is also useful in teaching correct methods of grammar at a high school level, and focusing on the needs of individual students using the data acquired through the app. I think one of the positive aspects of using this tool is that students don't simply select and click on answers; they must retype sentences, filling in the correct answer. This element, in my opinion, is crucial to deeper learning, as students have to reconstruct sentences themselves, simultaneously checking for spelling, spacing, and punctuation.
